Culinary writers expect the best...
...the best ingredients, the best techniques, the best flavors. So, why shouldn't your recipes be the best too? Whether you are a food editor, recipe developer, food blogger or cookbook author, your recipes would appear to the widest audience and should be tested and adapted for high altitude. Our Waiting for Gateau kitchen team will test your recipes here in Colorado and adapt them for garanteed success for high-altitude cooks everywhere. Expand your target audience and show them that you care about their baking success. Only the best will do!
Here is how it works...
1) Recipe testing costs $30 per recipe plus the cost of food.
2) We will test the original recipe at 5200ft elevation and document the results in writing and with photographs.
3) If needed, we will document the issues and formulate high-altitude adjustments to the recipe.
4) The high-altitude recipe will be tested and photographed and all results will be sent to you. The high-altitude recipe adjustments are garanteed to work at 5000ft-7000ft elevation. Non-tested recommendations can be given for 3000ft-5000ft and 7000ft-10000ft, if you'd like.
5) The $30 fee is due before work begins. Cash and cheques only. You will be invoiced the cost of the food when you are sent your results.
6) All fees are firm and you will be billed even if the recipe needs no changes.
7) Recipe testing results are usually available within 5-7 business days. Scheduling is on a first-come first-serve basis.
8) All photos of the recipes are for documentation purposes only and may not be reprinted in an traditional or electronic media.
9) All edible food is donated to a local shelter and food bank.
10) Information we need to begin work...
- the original recipe
- a photo (if available) of how the recipe is supposed to look
- a list of the equipment used including the type of oven and the size/shape/colour of all bakeware
Just e-mail or call us to get the process started...
